Do What It Takes

Today, the whole secondary 4's where on a workshop called the "Adam Khoo Workshop". My class venue is located at the music room, 4E2 is at the IT resource 3, 4E3 is at the A.V.A, while the 4E4, I dont really know.

Now we learnt a lot of things and new strategies on coping with our memorisation.
From 0800 to 1250, we learnt about EQ and IQ "stuff". We were trained by our coach named Leroy. He looks malay but actually he is a porchindian. An Indian, Chinese and Portugese. But that is what I call ROJAK.

Anyways it was a really FUN session. He shared most of his experience in life and brought a lot of meaning to us. But there is this speech which made a strike to everyone of our hearts in the room to study real hard and to start revising now.

The speech is " The hall has been a place where you had your Teacher's Day celebration, National Day celebration, Youth Day celebration and whatever celebration. But the hall is also the place where you do your exams. The Hall is also the place where you will receive your results. Are you going to leave the school hall with tears of happiness or leave with tears of sadness? Now some of your friends will be pushing the buttons of their hand phone to call home and tell the great news, while some will be thinking twice on whether to push the button to tell the bad news. Some will be anxious to answer the phone call, some will be letting the phone ring until it becomes a missed call. Some will be at a corner, having a time alone with themselves, some will be thinking of what are they going to do after this. Some will be wiping each others tears because they had done well, some will console each other comfort their failure. Some will get out of the school gate and say 'I am ready(smiling)', but some will say 'where am i going to go now?'. Will the school hall be a Funfair for you or will be be a House of Terror? It is what you choose to be".

It does make an impact to me. At 1320 after our break, a new trainer named Hui Min(common name). We were separated to 2 groups, so we were lazy to think of a name and we chose SINDHU as our team name and RAHMAD as our team leader(SABOTAGE them). The other group Chose the opposite of what we chose, RAHMAD as a team name and SINDHU as their team leader. We spent 3 minutes laughing non-stop. She even taught us on which brain are we, the LEFT or RIGHT? Mine is actually both. She even taught us on how to memorise 30 words in 3 minutes. The words are:

-Crown -Glucose -Tree
-Hyperbola -Policeman -Door
-Janitor -Zoo -Hive
-Umbrella -Handphone -Sticks
-Fluorine -Japan -Heaven

-Banana -Parameswara -Hen

Try it on yourself. We did a 'What Type Of A Learner Are You?'
And guess what? I am a Kinesthatic and a Visual Learner. Which means I learn by trying things and by seeing things.

Well there are more things to come tomorrow. Hope that it will be more FUN than today.
